Hanabusayama is named for Viscount Hanabusa, who had built his residence in these parts at the end of the Meiji period. The neighborhood is now dotted with foreign embassies and the area around a nearby hill is home to condominiums. Few people walk through during the day despite its proximity to Meguro Station and a quiet ambience permeates the entire district.
